Ode to Alderman DreadBach!

(midi file) Right click to open, then minimize your player

You walked onto the Council
Like you were some kind of big hot shot
Your seat strategically meant to aid Frimark
You're a pawn in his power plot
You had both eyes on the Mayor as
You let Public Works go to pot
And all our streets seemed that they needed salting
Our streets needed salting, and

You're so vain
You probably think this blog is about you
You're so vain
We bet you think this blog is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

You've had many chances to prove yourself
And vote very thoughtfully
Well, you said you wouldn't spend your money with Napleton
And you said it indignantly
Then you gave away our town's money
And now it's a mess we can see
You cast your vote and you screwed it up big time
Screwed it up big time, and

You're so vain
You probably think this blog is about you
You're so vain
We bet you think this blog is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

Well we hear you went up to watch old Greenbay
And you and Frimark had fun
You were seen at the game on that special Sunday
Like you're Frimark's adopted son
Well, you vote like Frimark wants you to
And when you don't, you are still
Making quite sure that it's okay with Frimark
Okay with Frimark, and

You're so vain
You probably think this blog is about you
You're so vain
We bet you think this blog is about you
Don't you? Don't you? Don't you?

You're so vain
You probably think this blog is about you
You're so vain
You probably think this blog is about you...

Enjoy the weekend!

  1. You know, Alderman Bach does remind me of Mick Jagger.

  2. This is what happens when you have airheads running for office.

  3. We now have clear and convincing evidence that Alderman Bach can fully express how he feeeeeeeeels...

I'm wondering if he's capable of expressing any public policy positions and thoughts...?

  4. It all makes perfect sense. After learning about the Napleton Cadillac flop, you pen a letter to the editor expressing outrage at the anonymous blogs. Yes that sure is the logical thing to talk to the voters about.

  5. Interesting!

A friend called me today she took her car into the lincoln buick dealer to have something fixed and was asking them about Napelton Cadillac. She asked if another dealership would open there.

They replied that they were told that is where the new police station is supposed to be going in.

  7. Good song spoof.

Never really liked the Simon Song but the next time I hear it, I'll probably listen to it and think about the song spoof on Aderman Dreadbach.

  8. Sorry.

I misspelled something and thought it would be better to redo it.

  9. Just joking with you. :-) Figured you'd be correcting the spelling of 'Alderman' in the second comment too. :-)

  10. Just to change the subject -
I see where our community editor -
Jack S. used the following words in his recent column:

    Iwo Jima

    Greatest Generation

    Scared

I didn't know that you served our country !

I believe that as a community we do need to work together!!

    Thank You.

  11. You know when asked about what's going on with the whole Napleton deal, the director of public works 'also' mentioned a new police station as well. I say why look there when 400 Busse (the pw service center) should be perfect for the new police station. Actually....that's just flat out wrong. That building isn't suitable for anyone. Not even your worst enemy. 7 or 8 years of management hiding that buildings problems (big plural there!!!!!) and lying to the people they work with will come out! Stay Tuned Everybody! love u PRU

  12. This will end up in the courts now that Billy N. has played his hand.

Also its time to contact the EPA
for him to clean up HIS MESS AT THE OLD SITE.

Let's start citing Napleton until he does clean it all up.

Hopefully, the Mayor will allow the local, county and federal agencies
    to do their job!

    Thank you.

  14. hey "private citizen"---is that English?

  15. ms manchester: "private citizen" was being Randy Jackson from American Idol. I think he was humorously responding to the initial "Ode to Alderman DreadBach".

  16. I'd love to know what Mayor Frimark thinks about the blogs?

Maybe at some point he'll write his own laetter to the papers?

  17. We hear Howard tells people our blog is filled with lies and pornography, which means Howard must really like either lies or pornography or both a lot, since he reads here every day.

  18. I have now just caught up with this and I am laughing so hard! Is Bach serious?!! It takes courage to read a blog?!! Because it is critical?!! Is this guy for real?!! What a snivelling pile of twerp he is!! Just goes to show that you should not believe your own press! There was a letter in the paper a long time ago about how the election of this City Council was the Magnificent Seven. I guess Bach expected to be loved and adored and now he has to screw up his courage because he is finding out that not everybody loves and adores him. What a twerp.
