For $1800 dollars and the maybe on severence Schmidt is going to veto the city mgr. contract and drag out another matter of city business. Way to go Mayor.
Anybody else think the extension of severance, and the attempt to lengthen the city manager's contract was an attempt to make it more difficult for Mayor DipSchmidt to justify...especially economically...any desire he might have to get rid of the city manager?
I think the city manager agreement is almost overly generous with or without the changes the Aldermen made to it.
Now that you put it that way though the changes the Aldermen made are very possibly to block Schmidt from trying to get rid of Hock.
The other PR blog has people saying Hock should be let go. It looks like if anyone want to know what Schmidt thinks they should read the other PR blog.
I'm pretty unhappy about what is going on in the city right now. I thought it was a mess with Frimark, but it seems as if it is getting worse under Schmidt. The Meatgate is only one example but there have been others. I listened to the video an think the guy from publics work is full of it and he was totally unprepared for the meeting. When is a policy more than an ordinance? When you are trying to cover your butt is when.
What a joke. The city is being run by morons.

ReplyDeleteIncluding the Mayor.

...that was very "interesting," wasn't it...?

ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or were there a whole lot of non-answer-answers during the tree discussion?
ReplyDeleteAll I saw was the public, who seemed to have legitimate questions and reasonable arguments get the royal run-a-round.
I agree 7:22, Ordinance trumps policy...except when it doesn't.
