For all the Park Ridge - Niles School District 64 kiddies getting vaccinated today, and depending upon which type of H1N1 vaccine the County decides to deliver, we hope all goes well and we promise, if the vaccine is delivered in shot form, it will only hurt for a little while.
We commend District 64 for their efforts on this health concern issue. The PRU Crew feels caution can be its own reward. We also feel soap and water and using kleenex is pretty rewarding to.
The PRU Crew believes the Pub-dogs may have broken a comment record for one of their postings!
Any PRU readers who may have missed out on the fun, it's too late now -- the Pub-dogs have said they are not accepting any more comments to their post Something To Be Thankful For.
We found the post very good, and the freewheeling conversation about the Taste of Park Ridge event highly entertaining. Thanks, Pub-dogs!

Wow!
I still think the media has made a big panic out of the whole flu scare. Many people have gotten it and reported it's very mild.
That horrible, rotten, evil media. Not only have they caused a panic over H1N1 but they have me completely convinced Sarah Palin is an idiot...........ARGH!
Sarah Palin is an idiot but that doesn't mean the media isn't selling a health scare.
I filled out the permission forms and my children received the vaccinations at school today.
I'm grateful the school district and health officials have been proactive. I agree safe is better than sorry.
3:16, 4:04 - Do you think Biden is an idiot?

Please accept my apology if the Palin comment offended you. It was an attempt at humor and apparently, in your eyes, it failed. A poster blamed the media so I thought that had a familiar ring to it. In terms of the Palin/Biden comparison, I really think we are better served noy going there - after all, this is a local blog.
And I will ask my question here since PW has stopped taking comments on the ToPR.
Why can't the City of Park Ridge just send an invoice to ToPR for services rendered?
I know there are other issues at hand with disclosure, but as far as the City being reimbursed for its services, ToPR should be billed and treat such invoice as any other vendor's invoice...as an expense, to be paid.
You bring up a topic and then suggest we not "go there".
I do think it is relative to local politics as it demonstrates your ability to think analytically and how you might apply those thoughts.
It was just a simple question; Do you think Biden is an idiot?
