I agree with Bach there are too many City Hall staff. Assistant city manager to do what hold the hand of the city manager at over $135,00.00 ,two city engineers should be cut to one another savings of over $100,000,public works director who has an engineering degree $130,000.00 without engineering degree should be paid $75,000. these aldermen don't have a clue of what's going on at City Hall.This is just the start. Keep it up Mayor . The aldermen don't want to hear what is really happening until the taxpayers realize they no longer have brush pickup and have to shovel their own snow in front of their house. throw them out of office. Time for change. by the way great job of videotaping, made my breakfast come up.
Well I agree with DiPietro who said the council can't figure out what it's doing half the time and if they try to start running the day to day operations of the city then this city is in trouble.
When is the next election? Bach and Wsol and Ryan can't be gone soon enough.

woweee, just watched VIDEO 3, starting at the 28:00 mark. This guy who got up and said he is a "consultant" for the gaming industry...he's really an exec with one of the companies who is trying to sell vid poker machines to Illinois businesses. what's that pic of the wolf in a sheeps clothing?
His disrespectful comments about gambling not have affects on the community, behavior of gamblers, etc. is complete b.s.

Wayne is such a tool - sticking it to the residents where they will feel it the most (brush pick-up, street sweeping, sewer maintenance, and snow plowing), to teach each of us a lesson about cutting staff. I can just hear him say - "you want to reduce payroll, well take this"
That sleazy, shady Wayne - if he takes a street sweeper off the street, what's he going to do with it, store it in the service center till it is obsolete, sell it on eBay?
Easy 703...Wayne is not perfect, but this was not his doing. His "force" has been cut by more than 10%. The other departments' staffs have been cut 0%. The union could have played ball. It did not.

I just don't see how he's being spiteful.
Take a look at the city council, who gave the funds to the community groups...then couldnt afford salaries! They chose not to pass along the 15% increase in water from the City of Chi, only part of it.

I must say, the Finance Director is one of the funniest people in that whole room!

Cheer up; what they used to do is quickly say "you want cuts? OK, we'll just lay off police and firefighters," knowing full well taxpayers would freak out and say, "no, no, never mind."
Lambesis must have to meditate in order to sit through the financial nonsense spewing from the mouths of Bach and Wsol.
To paraphrase a line of dialog from the movie "Dave": If they ran their homes or businesses the way they run the city, they'd be bankrupt.
Unfortunately, Park Ridge may soon be.
I think it's unfair to blame Wayne for the cuts. Regardless, cutting services where residents will feel it the most is the quickest way to get the funding back where it belongs.
