Mayor Frimark, who is effectively running the campaign of GOP State Rep. Rosemary Mulligan, one of the last remaining of his once-large group of political allies, has apparently sunk to an all-time low in trying to save Rosemary Mulligan's seat by tying her to Obama. Two brazen political ads are just now hitting the streets. Loyal GOPers are livid about Rosemary's duplicity.

Actually, all right-minded people might have reason to be happy, because it could just be the dying gasp of a an unsavory political machine based right here in River City.

Meanwhile, this GOPer will happily and proudly vote for Aurora.

the reason I will NOT vote for Aurora Austriaco is because she has BOMBARDED my mailbox with flyers at least 5 times a week. She writes about what she believes in. She leaves off the part about believing in killing trees. It's overkill. and obnoxious.

I'll watch for the ads you mentioned, would they be mailings or TV ads?

Pro-life and an affiliation with the religious right are killing the GOP! There are MANY conservative voters who are pro-choice and want religion out of government. If that is what you call 'tying ... to Obama' - bring it on.

Rosemary is sending out flyers to dems and independents only touting her "partnership" with Obama in the Illinois Legislature. GOPers won't see it unless someone shoews it to them. What a lowlife she is,,and her advisor, Howard. And Mouse, remember Aurora voted for strong regulation of homeless shelters at quite some political risk to herself. And as for trees, Rosemary has killed quite a few herself slandering Aurora.

Rosemary is a joke...but I'm concerned about Aurora's ties to that idiot Blago...not a good choice either way.

Rosemary Mulligan is a RINO! There are many republicans that do not consider her a republican. At least Aurora was not afraid and stood up for tighter restrictions on the homeless shelter! I am voting for her.

Wow! Maybe McCain should come out against PADS shelters!!

Aurora is a resident here in town with her family and she put this community and our kids safety first before any political concerns and risk of backlash. She proved to me that political conerns are second for her in the face of what is best for our community. I'm voting for her for those reasons.

The Obama/Mulligan "team" mailers were very amusing...especially since they mention all kinds of union endorsements for Mulligan but the mailers look like they weren't printed at a union shop...no union bug anywhere to be seen...!!!

I'm wondering, can anyone confirm whether or not it's true that Rep. Mulligan recently spoke at a League gathering and announced that she's an "Independent"...? I'm sure the local Republican party faithful would find that information...interesting...

Anything to get elected, what republican party are you talking about, the one I looked to and stood by has died, it's gone, a bunch of wimps. If Rosemary wants to hitch her wagon to another party for sheer despiration, well, I guess I state my case.
