For the PRU Crew's part, we well understand that not everyone who reads here agrees with the positions we take. But they still read here, which proves to us what we have always suspected; the people of Park Ridge are hungry for information and will seek it out if they can find a resource for it that doesn't dose them with koolaid in the process -- and, they are adults who can handle not only dissenting opinion but also the unvarnished truth.

Thanks for the info. I have a couple of questions:
What do you count to get the number of "unique readers"? For example, if I visit your site and at some other time my spouse uses the same computer (but a different user name) to visit the site, how are we counted?
Do you know the number of adults who live in Park Ridge so that I can estimate the percentage of the locals who visit your site? (I know that this would not be statistically correct, but it would satisfy my curiosity.)

The reading is based on the most basic of computer ids, the computer's ip and a cookie.
As for the rest, pick up a spoon and learn to feed yourself.
According to the most recent census (factfinder.census.gov) , the total population in the catagory 18 years and over is 28,509. It should be noted that the data appears to be from 2000, although I cannot imagine that there would be a dramatic difference versus today. At the very least it gives you a ballpark figure.

I never comment on anything, but feel the need to join in here.
PRU is well-written, funny and politically incorrect--all things I value. I often disagree with PRU opinions, but always appreciate that they've taken the time to share a different view and provide alternate information to what we get from the "local" paper.
If you don't like the blog, leave! And unless you're thinking of advertising, why on earth do you care how many people actually view the site?
