Yippy Kai Yay!

The Park Ridge City Council has another COW meeting scheduled for tonight. On the agenda (.pdf) is a bit of COW comedy the PRU Crew is shaking our heads over.

We have to admit, we didn't think they were serious when the issue was first raised. But it sure looks as if the City Council will be looking to hire a consultant, who will provide consulting work, that will eventually help the City Council hire a consultant, who will provide consulting work, that will eventually help the City Council mooooove forward on building a new police station.

And the taxpayers of Park Ridge continue to get milked for all we're worth!

Of course we all knew that the city council will have its way.
Regardless of who's money is being spent.

Please tell us all ...with 1.5 in the hole - how can the city council take out the city check book and cash a check with money that we don't have ?

In some states its called a felony
Oh I get it.....let the tax payers cover the costs by way of increasing our taxes......again !

Its funny just how the city council runs fast and loose with our money but with the use of fog and mirrors...they can get away with it.

Just call Howie the svengoolie of the 41st ward - annexed!

Who knew that the Park District race would be the one with all the excitement?

A bit of good news. I saw the planes were coming in this morning from the Northeast, over Maine East instead of Maine South. Good thing out Crown Jewel was out of harm's way. Wouldn't want those icky planes to be pointed at our top-ranked high school, would we?

Father McKenzie-check again. The planes are flying right down the Belle Plaine corridor-every minute or so. Your sarcasm is not wanted on the matter of the new runway. Only one person made the comment about MS being the "crown jewel." The rest of us living the nightmare of the approach for the new runway and the kids at the 4 schools affected by it are just trying to find a way to minimize the nightmare. If you do not have anything constructive to say, then back off.

planes flying over our heads is going to make us even crabbier as we begin to open our windows!
They are non-stop.

I live under the new flight path, and planes fly over. Planes have been flying over my house since I moved into Park Ridge many years ago. They used to be a lot louder.

We bought homes near an airport and planes fly over our heads. That shouldn't be a surprise.

planes NEVER flew over where I am living under the new flight pattern. They now shine their landing lights in my windows and are sometimes so low that they rattle the contents of my residence. So, "Father" McKenzie...stop trying to stir up more issues than we already have.
There WERENT planes flying in that flight pattern before.
Now put down the bong and go back to your Jerry Springer.

Gee, I never looked it that way! Your right, I seem to have overblown this whole thing! I am such a baby!
