...and there's Mr. Shillwhiner, showing up to once again kiss the Mayor's ass...in hopes of having the private property rights of others again subjugated to his own and his neighbor's desires...
Mayor DipSchmidt not only lives in the area and didn't want commercial development of the parking lot, but also he PROMISED the folks in the area he would do everything he could to help them get their heart's desire. ...and he expressed relief that it was Ryan who took up the cudgel, so he didn't have to...
...and the Mayor being a lawyer, was in full agreement with the legal opinion held by the city attorney...
The desires of the near-by residents, in conjunction with the 4 usual doofs on the city clowncil and Mayor DipSchmidt, have cost the city money through legal fees for this folly. ...not to mention the potential loss of future property and sales tax from these commercial parcels within the TIF district...
Talk about government waste...and being "unfriendly to business"...
I'm sure Lapdog, er I mean Pubdog, will call him out on it.

I am sorry sir, but you appear to be mistaken. Why I just read the write up on the other blog and the Mayor is not even mentioned. It would seem that he was not even there at the time!!

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you!
It is nothing but political garbage. I voted for Dave but I won't again make the same mistake. I will be glad to see most of these Aldermen leave. Then the Mayor maybe will try to work with people, not alienate them.

How do you know what the Mayor promised the residents there? Ryan is thier Alderman so what got the Mayor involved?
I'm not saying I do not believe you but I am curious about how you would know.

He said so in emails I have. DipSchmidt was asked by the neighbors in the area for his support *before* becoming Mayor.
