OH...MY...GOD...someone get me a cocktail!
First of all, thanks to the tech people for doing such a great job recording this. I am sorry I missed the meeting, forgot about it, after the holiday weekend.

The long-ass debate about AT&T is unreal. I hope this "top secret person with information" that Allegretti somehow is unable to produce has valuable information. If it's so important, then why can't she come to the meeting, or send us something in writing?

It doesn't sound like it, and probably isnt worth the City's time. So what's the bug up Allegretti's ass? At first I thought he had a problem with Comcast's competition, but it seems more clear that he is offended by AT&T's lawyers and lobbyists going to Springfield to get a law passed about their licensing fees.

He said he was "surprised" that AT&T passed on Park Ridge for their U-Verse product. REALLY? They came to at least two meetings (remember the "technical questioning" by Bach?!) and were blown off at the second one. Rudely.

The attitude problem is not theirs, it's the City Council's, especially Mr. Allegretti. He is seriously misinformed. AGAIN.

Thank you "voice of reason" DiPietro, and of course, the Mayor for trying to sort out the nonsense. The Mayor is right--ATT did not have an attitude. I think they saw that the fumbling and bumbling of our City Council was not worth their time. They have many many other communities who want their service. It's called being a business. Hmmm..what's that like, aldermen?!!!!!

Now even if we are put back on the "list" we will be far down on it. So THANKS SO MUCH to our fearless ELECTED leaders who have made Park Ridge (once again) look like we are unfriendly to businesses.

I will think of you while I am trying to adjust my TV antenna, since I refuse to become one who lives in the peril of Comcast and their true gibberish.

Very true, Gypsy. Can somebody tell Allegretti that "competition" is a good thing? Like when his buddy Terry Ekl was the low-bidder for the Police Dept. audit and we got that really swell report for only 30% more than the original bid, which was still 50% less than the next bidder.
