hey PRU, thanks for the indexing. Everyone take a look at Carrie Davis's lack of Math skills when discussing the first issue about the space behind the building on Prospect. I know from math class many years ago that $2,000 per month x 12 months x 15 years = $360,000. I guess she didn't go to the same school as me.

We found ourselves more concerned about Ald. Allspaghetti's math abilities.

It sounded to us as if Allspaghetti thinks paying $2000 a month for 15 yrs., or some number of yrs., is a better deal than paying $63,000 for repaving the parking area in accordance with the original lease.

The break even point, if you could call it that, would be 3 yrs. And at the end of a lease term of three yrs. we'd expect the property owner to again demand restoration of the parking area.

Keep in mind, Davis doesn't vote on these things. The Aldermen do.

Calling him Alspaghetti is ethnically insulting. I know it's popular to insult Italians now that Columbus is being portrayed as a blood thirsty good for nothing white devil, but could we please show a little respect for the great country that inspired sleeveless t-shirts and disco, please?

We abuse the term to describe Ald. Allspaghetti's noodle, or more biologically stated, his mind.

We apologize to all our readers of Chinese decent. We meant no ethnic insult to the inventers of spaghetti.

However, we will continue to describe Ald. Allspaghetti in the way we've chosen.

The city will be talking about issuing bonds for flood controls and I expect that will be millions upon millions and Bach is worried about another $63K? I know dollars add up fast, but he is ridiculous sometimes.

Not only is this cost another thing the city failed to budget for but probably so are the bond costs they will be talking about. Didn't the city attorney say this lease ended in '08 or something like that and they were negotiating with the owner? I get the impression they knew all along this lease wasn't going to get renewed and still they didn't budget for this.

The owner of the property probably wants the parking for its Tenets because parking in uptown is almost impossible especially if you rent apartments. We should restore it to the way it was in the 70s throw a handful of pebbles and a bent up garbage can and we're back to where we were. the costs should be around $100.00 I just saved the city $62,900.00
