Thought I'd ask has anyone been to Uncle Dan's?
I'm considering going though I've read some bad reviews on it.
We've heard it's a nice casual place with good casual food.
Why not give it a try and let everyone here know what you thought of it.
Their serving system leaves a bit to be desired. We ordered a sandwich and a pizza. We went to our table with pager in hand. When the pager went off, my husband went to the counter and was given the sandwich but no pizza. By the time the pizza was ready the sandwich had been eaten. When we complained, the manager said that the counter people should have told us that salads and sandwiches are always done first because the pizzas take longer. Dumbest thing I've ever heard. The order was all on one check, can't they time things properly? The food was ok, but we'll not be going back anytime soon. It may be casual dining, but the prices are not casual and for those prices I expect better.

read in the journal about park ridge cops and former cops being subpoenaed before the cook county grand jury. article didnt say why the cook county states attorney is investigating something that happened over 2 years ago. anyone know more about it?
had a lovely experience at Uncle Dan's last week. We sat at the bar, the bartender took our order and we were served and ate our pizza at the bar.
Except for some questionable characters sitting at the bar near us, it was a good time.
Howard was having dinner at the bar??

I thought that after spending all that money on Elk doing his investigation on problems, that nothing was found. A Grand Jury and a States Attorney's office is now involved, I guess Ekl has some explaining to do... if he's up for answering questions, last time he wasn't.
Anon 8:02=it is the case of the off duty cop beating the crap out of two kids in cuffs in the back of a squad car and the two on duty cops letting the off duty cop execute the beating without stopping him. Allegedly.
We ate at Uncle Dan's this weekend as well. Friendly service and good pizza. Support your local businesses.
