In observance of Veterans Day - Again today we will set aside any discussion of politics, government, elected leaders, and policy concerns in order to offer our deepest gratitude to those soldiers who have served our country to protect our freedoms, so that tomorrow, and every tomorrow to come, we may again freely discuss politics, government, elected leaders, and policy concerns.
To all our veterans near and far, thank you.
May God bless you all.

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Thank you to all our veterans.
Our country owes all our vets for the sacrifices they made for us.
PRU, thank you for this every year.
To my Dad, my Uncles and all our men and women in service to our country- Thank You.

Lest we forget.
Thank you for "In Flanders Fields." It's been a heartbreaker since it was first published and in fact is where we get our Memorial Day poppies as a symbol.
God bless their souls and God help us at least the hell bother to vote -- and elect people who vote FOR -- not against -- substantial medical, psych, housing, job and other benefits for our veterans. It truly is the least we can do when they've given so hellishly much.
