You know I was just thinking,
Looking through the Spokesman and the picture of all those who helped put up the Christmas lights around town, wonder how often, especially in this age, do we see these kind of things where so many come out to volenteer in such instances?
One might say "not enough" and some older people might say, "You rarely see this anymore."
Also does anyone remember years ago durring the holiday season when they use to put up candy canes on the streetlights on Devon Ave. in the South Park area?
Wonder why that's not done anymore?
The volunteer spirit is alive and well in Park Ridge. I don't go by pictures. I see it with my own eyes everywhere I go through town.
