Don't Drop The Soap!

Found on Gizmodo.com

Brass Knuckle Soap!

What will they think of next?

The PRU Crew is feeling generous today. We think we'll pitch in and buy a case of these for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich as a parting gift for his eventual, all-expenses-paid vacation from society, courtesy of the Feds.

Stay clean and have a great weekend!

The Park Ridge Teen Center gets $20,000 to $25,000 from the City of Park Ridge, but according to Mrs. Kerin (who is on the Teen Center board) they have cut Thursday night because of lack of funds. Why wouldn’t Park Ridge Cares raise money for a local program to help our children and our community with their $30, 000 instead of sending these valuable dollars thousands of miles away? I also hear 10 people will be flying to Africa. How much will that cost? Maybe they should donate that amount to the Park Ridge Teen Center and bag the photo op. Just wondering, maybe somebody knows the answer.

Its called priorities.

I too believe that we should help
the teens here in town - before they end up on page one.

What I don't understand is ...how all of these kids from both PR & DP
end up in some abandon home recently.

Where are the parents at 2am ?

The MSH student that ended up a gunshot victim on the westside
of Chicago - where were the parents in knowing where their daughters and sons are ?

Some of these kids pretend to act like a gang banger until the cops come! The loud music with the only line in it...."I shot in the head and the dude went down" is enough to make you think - what are these kids thinking!

I agree that you can't get so focused that you leave out the kids. But on the other hand you can't expect the police to raise them either!

I don't know what the rush is for most of these folks to visit Africa but unless your really an animal lover ( in the wild that is)
then I agree - donate some of those greebacks to the teen center.

Thank you.

The answer is that they can raise money and donate to who or what ever they choose to. If you do not like it it is very simple - do not support them.

How about you start your own charitable drive for the teen center or perhaps write a check directly to them your self?

On the one side we have people bitching about tax dollars supporting community "non- necessities". Now we have people bitching about who an organization chooses to raise money for and give money to. Once again the Park Ridge bubble mentality in action.

It just seems to me that someone who sits on the board of said center are willing to cut services to that particular center in liue of sending themselves on a trip for a big fat pat on the back just seems a little hinkey.

....and by the way shouldn't charity start at HOME?!?!?!?!
