What have we learned from this little clip, boys and girls?
That kid didn't get those cheers and high 5's from his peers just because he tried.
Nobody is fooling anybody with their nonsense about handing out ribbons and trophies just for trying.
The kids know better.
Somebody asked either last week or earlier this week about the poilce activity at Deed Rd. Station.
It said in this week's H-A they tried to throw to men off the train for disorderly conduct and they attacked a security guard.
PRU, speaking of green, please let folks know that if they, like many of us, find their trash carts mostly empty and their recycling cart overflowing, they can get a second recyling cart, but they have to phone ARC directly at 847-981-0091. The current City-ARC contract provides for only one free blue cart; additional carts can be leased from ARC for a nominal $2.50 per month and will be billed to the property owner, I believe quarterly. In my 'umble opinion, it's worth it. When the contract is up in 5 years (we're 3 years into an 8-year contract)we can switch to mo' bigger recycling carts if needed.
