Superstar!

In today's edition of the Journal & Topics, Editor Todd Wessell lets us all know that Mayor Howard is hard at work representing the interests of Park Ridge by fielding calls from the media about Hillary Clinton.

"Mayor Says He Speaks With Numerous Media Outlets A Week, Even Drove One Around Town"

"I'm getting two to three calls every week from the media," said Park Ridge Mayor Howard Frimark."

The last paragraph of Wessell's report tells us that, "Frimark said he drove the reporter around town including a visit to the Pickwick Restaurant where the reporter was able to see what is known as a "Hillary Burger"."

Maybe the reporter read some of the recent
health inspection reports for some of our local restaurants and only preferred to "see" what is known as a "Hillary Burger".

Too bad Mayor Howard couldn't find the time to drive any of our Federal Representatives around town, instead of spending the taxpayer's money on a
trip to Washington, D.C.

A fluff piece from Frimark's favorite fluffer, Todd Wessell.

Until this photo was published, I never realized he has something of the diva look about him.

Nice photo. It's a good look for Howard.

And now that his stint as a Rudy Giuliani delegate is over, he's got time on his hands to play the other side of the aisle.

Wonder if Frimark sold any insurance to that Pittsburgh reporter he drove around Park Ridge?

So, let me get this straight. Frimarkstein (fire bad) runs around town screaming the Democrats are coming, the Democrats are coming. He uses this ploy to scare the little old Republican ladies around town to vote for him.

Then the second the media lights come up, Howard is right there to escort the press around “Hillary’s” town. What a weasel.

Howard is sooo two-faced! During this last primary season he supported John Nocita (Democrat for congress) and he supported Eileen O'Neil Burke (Democrat for 10th Judicial Subcircuit).

We have also heard through the grapevine that the reason Howard was not backing Republican for 33rd State Senate Mike Sweeney is because he cut some deals with Dan Kotowski on the soundproofing wall and Higgins Cooridor study. Dan would help him get funding if Howard stayed out of the race.

So good ole Howard turns the Democrat/Republican thing on and off as it suits him.

It doesn’t surprise me at all. I had lunch with Howard a few years ago, when he was trying to win me over with his charm. With my being a Democrat and all, he mentioned how he met Bill Clinton through Rotary. He also mentioned how he liked Bill Clinton and get this, mentioned how he voted for Bill in 1992. I’ve been waiting so long to tell that story.

Out of 12 possible delegates that ran for the two spots for the 9th congressional district Howard came in number 11 with only 1.51% (only 598 votes)of the vote.

I think Judy Barclay received more votes for 5th Ward Alderman than Howard received for delegate!

I think the current Republican Administration in Government has caused much debt to this country. Our dollar and our economy is in terrible shape.

This last primary election was a sure sign that the seniors of this town are no longer holding the republican line.

In Suburban Maine Township approximately 20427 Democratic Ballots were pulled to an approximate 8415 Republican Ballots.

I have served as an election judge for many years. I know that some people in my precinct pulled a Democratic ballot to vote against someone they did not want in. However, there were plenty of people who came up and proudly declared themselves a Democrat. The numbers are totally reversed.

Doncha know? Howard is independent.
He independently wants to make just about any decision of any importance in town.
He's a lot like our Governor who recently said something to the effect of: I could do this job a lot better (myself) if it weren't for those damn legislators.
Thank goodness for Schmidt and now maybe Wsol? Anyway, did I read somewhere recently that Howard was losing his grip on a few of the Alderpersons? All I can say is thank God and it’s about time!

Sounds like Howard is an aspiring, if not already a "made," member of the Illinois Combine of Dems and Repubs who all get fat by feeding at the public trough.

Anybody want to take a shot at explaining the differences, if any, between Ds and Rs at the local "non-partisan" level? Based on the rising taxes and rising debt levels we're seeing, it seems like they're both equally fiscally irresponsible - and willing to give away the "store" to well-connected developers and car dealers.

Howard can be Blago or Daley, but who's going to play Tony Rezko, Bill Cellini, Mike Tadin and Fred Barbera?

Somewhere out there we bet a whole lot of developers and campaign contributors hands just shot up, and they're yelling, "Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!"

I'm shocked...at the level of distrust of our fine Mayor.

I do believe that he is just following his true nature, that of lining his own pockets and those that are closest to him.

Not a Red-State Republican or Blue State-Democrat...but a Green-State Opportunist, and not green as environmentally friendly, but more the color of money.

It is my hope that with the bright light shining on him, Howard will quickly realize the price to pay for abusing the system is too steep and people are paying attention.

Then I won't have to run against him for Mayor in a year, as he'll have packed his bags permanently for Bonita Springs with no plans on coming back.

Five years ago Howard also told me he had voted for Clinton.

When will he be spotted hanging around Hyde Park?

Good one, PRU! Howard and the 100% ardently Republican aldermen turned their backs, literally, on Rep. Jan Schakowsky last Memorial Day, right up on the steps of City Hall under our Ameican flag. Maybe someday he (and they) will remember that the representatives, not the media, are where the pothole-fixing money comes from. He also told the media he was gonna make this Guliani country when they were first trying to get him into the limelight as the mayor of Hillary's home town. He's apparently finally figured out there might be something in it for this little burg if we were one of forty-four presidential home towns out of how many tens of thousands nationwide? Duh. (Although it makes my blood run cold to think of the likes of Howard representing Hillary's clean little suburb.) But now, if my Wonder Woman loses, wait for Howard to discover that, like Dick Cheney, he's a shirt-tail relative of Obama's.
"Opportunistic" doesn't begin to cover it. If only Howard were ambitious for the City, not just for himself and his cronies. He out-Daley's Daley any day of the week.
