I heard that NBC is running the very first episode of Saturday Night Live this Saturday. Carlin was the first guest host. The show was also the big debut of John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Chevy Chase and many other now-famous stars. It is worth watching.
If you’ll be enjoying the weekend in town, gardening or at a yard party ---- watch out for Pit Bulls. Why hasn't Park Ridge enacted a Pit Bull ordinance? Does anyone know if there has been a discussion at City Hall or at the PRPD since the attack? Our Municipal Code 5-8-18 "Prohibited Animals" makes a reference to 720 ILCS 585/0.1 et seq, but that doesn’t seem like much protection.
(720 ILCS 585/0.1) (from Ch. 8, par. 240) Sec. 0.1. As used in this Act, unless the context otherwise requires: "Dangerous animal" means a lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, lynx, bobcat, jaguarundi, bear, hyena, wolf or coyote, or any poisonous or life‑threatening reptile.

RIP, George. The weather will never be the same.
Here's to hoping I get through the weekend without losing the power at my home. It's happened twice this month already.
