From today's Trib:
Though Midwest Gaming and Entertainment won the license for Des Plaines last month, it must endure months of further scrutiny from the Illinois Gaming Board before it can get the final sign-off to start construction. That promises to be a long wait for up to 25 economically depressed towns in Cook County, which were promised a cut of the casino money.
