I'll let Mouse or others fill in the community, but this is the most shameful episode in Park Ridge politics that this town has ever experienced. Howard should join Blago in the impeachment line.

Howie felt it necessary to phone a place (or two?) that we were going to spend the weekend at, getting signatures on the petition. Telling them that they shouldn't be involved in politics.
Of course, I am sure he will "spin" it in his own slimy way.
A liar's true colors come through eventually. Whether it's in his own small world, in the eyes of the attorney general or in the eyes of the media.
Stick a fork in him. He is done.

if the part about sending the cops over to intimidate oberweis employees is true, that's illegal and frimark should be brought up on charges.
if the story's true, that's utterly inexcusable. the man should be put in jail.
this is the drum that anti-frimark folks can beat right up until election day. do not let up on this one.
if the story sticks and has legs, he will lose and lose badly.
i wasn't too motivated to go sign the petition, but now i'm going to go out of my way to do so. i hope a thousand or so others do the same. i'll tell my neighbors about this.

the petition getting enough signatures is one issue. the allegtion that the police are involved in the furtherance of any political agenda is a very serious matter. hope the fact of this allegation come to light
PRU--with all due respect for what you do, I sincerely disagree. We should not "keep it together."

The reminder to keep it together is for everyone.
However, my motivation for asking that the reminder be given is particularly intended for those whose comments we have not posted because of their over the top nature. And yes, even we believe some comments are over the top and unacceptable.
Everyone, keep your shoes on your feet, your ropes in your garages, your cars at the speed limit, your tools in your garden sheds, and channel your anger in ways that will keep you out of the pokey.

What are the local guidelines for collecting petition signatures? Are we allowed to go inside?

Sidewalks are public property and anyone can stand on a sidewalk to collect petition signatures.
Business are privately owned -- out of courtesy, if nothing else, the owner's permission is needed.

TOMORROW (Sunday) you can sign the petition with one of the volunteers outside the library, on the public sidewalk, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
